The INNIO AdvantageBy combining a rich legacy in the power and gas compression space with pioneering technology, INNIO brings our customers affordable, reliable and sustainable energy solutions for today and tomorrow.We are helping to meet today's energy needs with 64 GW of installed capacity of our powerful Jenbacher and Waukesha engines, which can be found in more than 100 countries.And, by harnessing our history of energy industry firsts along with the power of digital innovation, we will continue to deliver for the future.Please note that the location for this position is Porto AlegreRoleThisElectrical Field Service Technicianwill perform electrical (and mechanical) hands-on field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines, including but not limited to commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhaul, Jenbacher Gas Engines range in power from 0.25 to 9.5 MW, and run on either natural gas or a variety of other gases (e.g., biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas, combustible industrial waste gases).Essential ResponsibilitiesExecute service in compliance with the maintenance protocol of each type of engine (for example: check/replace oil level and filters, spark plugs, valve clearance), as well as perform relevant measurements.Carry on minor repairs on the engine additionally to the planned service, if necessary.Perform troubleshoot activities to understand mechanic and/or electronic failures on the engine and it associated control systems – diagnosis.Check and analyze the engine's historical data.Manage customer expectations and report on the progress of the activities.Provide a service report after each service performed in a timely manner, describing the reason for the visit, actions performed, results obtained, use of parts/materials and if needed, recommending follow-up actions.Take part in the execution of major service on the engine ensuring the compliance with the manufacturer's manuals and procedures.Manage and work with third party suppliers.Process timesheets, expense reports, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) forms.Comply with all EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work site.Keep a clean work environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications/RequirementsDeep electrical knowledge is required and good mechanical knowledge is a plus (min. 5+ years of experience as electrician. Preferred with Otto cycle engines and gensets /gas engines desired).Technical Professional Qualification (technical course) according to MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture).IT skills (outlook, word, excel).English level beginner or aboveStrong electrician and PLC knowledgeDesired CharacteristicsExcellent technical specialist knowledge and customer service abilities.Ability to handle stress, stability working under pressure and resilience.Familiar with Jenbacher reciprocating gas/diesel engines.Available for extensive travel, up to 80%.Able to understand and implement technical procedures.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Possess a valid driver's license.Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong customer focusAble to effectively interact with customersWork effectively, as part of a team of technicians, or individually.Have some computer knowledge that allows the creation of customer service reportsStrong written and verbal abilities in local language (Portuguese)
