Job Title: Data EngineerLocation: Remote (Brazil)Employment Type: Full TimeCompensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experienceAbout Design ManagerDesign Manager (+DesignSpec) is a leading provider of project management and accounting software tailored specifically for interior design firms.For over 30 years, we've helped thousands of designers run more efficient, profitable businesses with our cloud-based platform that integrates purchasing, budgeting, time tracking, and client communication in one seamless solution.As we grow, we're investing heavily in our data infrastructure to enhance product capabilities and improve client outcomes.About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support our product and technology team.In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, analyzing data, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.You'll be the first and only dedicated data analytics team member, so we're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable operating independently, defining structure, and solving complex data challenges.What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processesClean, validate, and structure raw data from various sources to ensure data quality and usabilityAnalyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decision-makingBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics to stakeholdersWork cross-functionally with teams (e.g., finance, operations, marketing) to define data needs and solve business problems using dataCollaborate with engineering and product teams to understand and meet data requirementsDevelop data models and schemas for analytics and reportingMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliabilitySupport the design and implementation of a modern data warehouse architectureEnsure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followedWork with third-party APIs and internal tools to extract, transform, and load dataDemonstrate an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude as the inaugural data analytics hireQualifications3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related fieldProficiency in SQL and experience with Python or another scripting languageExperience analyzing large datasets and generating insights that drive business impactFamiliarity with dashboarding and analytics platforms such as Mode, Power BI, or similarHands-on experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran) and data pipeline orchestrationStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelingExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversightNice to HaveExperience in SaaS or B2B software environmentsExposure to finance or accounting domainsWhy Join UsCompetitive hourly compensationHigh-impact role with significant autonomy and visibilityOpportunity to shape the foundation of data and analytics at a growing SaaS companyCollaborative and mission-driven team environmentPossibility for contract extension or full-time conversion based on performance and business needs#J-*****-Ljbffr
