Airswift is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to work on a permanent contract in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, with a leading company in the oil & gas sector.This role is responsible for ensuring close relationship with customers and cross functional team to report on progress of projects and to ensure that the risks and opportunities are effectively managed and communicated.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.In coordination with the business product line, develop and execute program plans including budget, schedule, and required resources while being accountable for on time delivery and budget constraints.Own technical leadership for complex systems and sub-systems with focus on quality, interface management, NPIs and key efforts for future generation productsIn partnership with the Chief Engineering Office, lead and organize the talent development of the organization, including skillset development and cross training to develop an engineering team capable of covering a broad range of products.Develop, lead, and champion productivity initiatives aimed at reducing engineering cost, effort, and cycle time.Collaborate across product teams and functions to provide clear organizational direction and alignment.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, software or electrical engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 15 years engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as an engineering manager within the Oil & Gas industry.Strong oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English (Fluent or advanced).Skills And AbilitiesPrior oilfield experience in drilling or subsea systemsPrior experience developing and introducing new systems of productsClear thinking with the ability to develop, communicate, and deliver clear strategy and action plans.Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skillsStrong interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skillsAbility to sort through complex technical information and make timely and sound decisions.Strong project management skills, including developing and maintaining project schedules, developing and tracking budgets, and developing risk mitigation strategies.About AirswiftAirswift serves as a strategic partner to our clients in STEM industries.We offer a turnkey workforce solution to acquire, mobilize, and employ top talent in over 70 countries.With 800 employees in over 60 offices worldwide, 7,000 contractors, and a candidate database of 1.5 million specialists, our geographical reach and pool of available talent, experience, and expertise is unmatched in the industry.We are proud to serve as a trusted advisor to clients looking to expand their operations internationally and offer employer of record services, payroll outsourcing, as well as HR consulting.
