Cabin Electrical Engineering Manager
, reporting to the Systems Senior Manager, based in the
Sao Jose Dos Campos
office.
The role leads engineering teams responsible for designing, building, testing, and certifying In Flight Entertainment Systems, Cabin Service Systems, Cameras, Sensors, Lighting Electrical & Control, Cargo/Cabin Surveillance for the 737, 787, 777-9 and future airplanes.
These roles will lead engineering teams developing the hardware and software for these systems, configuring the networks, and integrating across numerous airplane systems.
The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources.
This role includes mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports.
Position Responsibilities
Manage a team of Engineers in the development, validation, verification, integration and certification including overall quality and schedule performance.
Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects.
Partner closely with suppliers to establish project plans and manage team execution.
Maintain resource and skill forecasts to meet project and daily operating requirements.
Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems engineering.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.
Leads and fosters process improvements.
Develops and maintains a culture of understanding, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
Must have a degree in Engineering.
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
Proficient in both verbal and written communications in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Senior level of experience in the development, integration, and verification of electrical systems.
Master's Degree in an engineering related field or Business Administration (MBA).
Experience with Agile project management methods.
Senior level of experience in requirements management and system safety assessment/functional hazard assessment methodology.
Experience working within a regulated industry.
Experience with implementing more Model-Based Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
Experience in management or leadership role.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Additional Information
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
