Welcome to Islands, where innovation meets execution, and bold ideas are turned into world-class products.We're not your typical tech company—we're a Product and Venture Studio that works with startups, scale-ups, and also seeds our own SaaS ventures.In just 18 months, we've scaled rapidly, building revolutionary software that solves real-world problems across industries.Our global team of 35+ brilliant minds spans Canada and Brazil, and we're expanding fast.We're looking for someone like you to help lead the charge.Our culture is simple:Break the rules— be bold, experiment, and push beyond expectations.Embrace imperfection— progress trumps perfection in everything we do.Have fun along the way— whether it's product sprints or team retreats in exotic locations like Bali or Florianopolis.Position OverviewAs a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be at the heart of Islands' technical innovation, architecting and refining cloud infrastructure to support our groundbreaking products—both client-facing and internal.You'll design and scale microservice-based architectures, work hands-on with AWS, and ensure our CI/CD pipelines are robust.This role is flexible, suitable for full-time or part-time candidates.We're offering an opportunity to redefine how the future works, collaborating with a team that embraces experimentation and innovation at every turn.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, highly-available cloud infrastructure using AWS and microservices architecture.Collaborate with developers to manage cloud resources for core projects, including Frameflow, our AI-powered QA Engineer.Lead CI/CD pipeline development, ensuring seamless continuous deployment.Oversee infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and modern tools.Optimize for performance, security, and scalability as products expand into new markets.Experiment with the latest DevOps technologies to continually improve infrastructure.Qualifications5+ years of DevOps experience with hands-on cloud architecture in AWS.Proficiency with microservices, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation, including scalable IaaC with Terraform or similar.Experience with version control (Git, Mercurial, SVN), reverse proxies, gRPC, K8s, Github Actions.Familiarity with our tech stack and experience as a developer in React, Node.js, Typescript, or Python for Machine Learning.Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.Experience with AWS and GCP.Why Islands?Unlimited vacation — work-life balance is essential for creativity and growth.Micro-promotions — continuous growth through small, frequent promotions.Annual retreats to Bali, Florianopolis, and other island locations.Cutting-edge projects — working on products pushing the boundaries of software development and AI.Culture of innovation — we break things fast, fix them faster, and love to experiment.We work hard and have fun.If you're ready to join a team building the future of tech and reshaping industries with AI-powered QA solutions, we'd love to meet you.#J-*****-Ljbffr
