Expert Compliance Strategist

Compliance Specialist RoleThe Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring our organization maintains the highest standards of compliance.This position is responsible for leading our SOC 2 compliance efforts, streamlining evidence collection, and supporting security and compliance programs to meet industry benchmarks and customer expectations.This role requires strong technical foundations, system design capabilities, and a proactive mindset.As part of small, agile teams, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), collaborate closely with AI engineers, security leaders, and product managers.Key Responsibilities:SOC 2 Compliance Management: Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to ensure seamless audits and assessments.Vanta Platform Utilization: Leverage Vanta's advanced features for GRC automation to streamline compliance processes.Continuous Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring systems to identify potential compliance risks and address them proactively.Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures.Vendor Risk Management: Assess and mitigate vendor-related risks to ensure compliance with industry standards.Audit Support: Provide expert support during SOC 2 audits, ensuring smooth execution and optimal outcomes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with AI engineers, security leaders, and product managers to drive compliance initiatives forward.Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee understanding of compliance requirements.Reporting and Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance effectiveness.Requirements:Excellent English communication skills.Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, information security, or risk management.Hands-on experience with Vanta or similar compliance automation platforms.A proven track record of successfully managing SOC 2 audits and implementing controls.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant certifications in compliance or information security.Familiarity with Vanta's AI Agent and other advanced features for GRC automation.Experience working with startups, mid-market, or enterprise organizations in a SaaS environment.
