Job Summary
This is a full-time fully remote working opportunity where you will be working as part of a Scrum team which requires working closely with other software engineers, stakeholders and contributors on the project.
Working with respect to the US timezone is a requirement for the position.
Attending meetings, being actively involved in the decision making process and collaborating with all of these stakeholders are essential parts of this position.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and deploy cloud based (public and on-premise) high performance, distributed and scalable voice and digital medias (message, chat and video) applications for public safety answering points (PSAP) utilizing best engineering practices
Define component architecture based on stories created by Product Owner
Evaluate feasibility of design/architecture by developing rapid prototypes or a minimum viable solution
Develop, design, code, unit test, debug, integrate, document and participate in full life cycle of software development activities based on AGILE principle
Diagnose, debug, and fix application operational issues in a timely manner
Assist deployment and production support teams to work through customer escalated issues and provide resolutions and root-cause analysis
Requirements
5+ years of experience withGolang
Experience with Node.JS or Python in cloud development environment
Proficiency in database management and configuration in PostgreSQL, Redis, or AWS RDS, etc.
Development experience in AWS/Azure cloud platforms, as well as Kubernetes based cloud native platforms such as OpenStack, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, etc.
Well versed with Docker Container and Microservices
Proficiency in data messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, or Zookeeper
Demonstrable experience in API architecture design and implementation
Experience working across all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering
Proficiency with Object-Oriented design methodology
Experience with automated testing desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-managed proactive work style.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Desire to engage in extremely challenging assignments
