Senior Laboratory Technician

Overall Purpose of the JobTo conduct laboratory analyses in a safe and efficient manner according to Written Procedures and Work Instructions.To record all necessary experimental information, to process the data, prepare results and submit to client oil companies.Key Activities and AccountabilitiesConduct laboratory experiments/measurements in a safe and efficient manner according to specified methods laid down in appropriate work instructions and procedures.Interpret the measured data by use of laboratory software packages and calculation methods;Record all such calculations and methods of working in work files and prepare results in a format suitable for presentation to clients.Conduct 'small scale' equipment maintenance and calibration as necessary to ensure efficient laboratory / field operations.Carry out onsite analysis in a safe and efficient manner according to both Expro and customer requirements.Carry out all specified operations specified in accordance with established work instructions and accredited procedures.Be aware of safety considerations at all times and bring any perceived safety issues to the attention of the Laboratory Manager (or nominee) without delay.Job Knowledge and Qualifications3+ years' previous experience in a similar role.Mechanical aptitude.Good familiarity with computers and flexibility in data processing.Familiarity with chromatography software and MS Excel would be an advantage.
