Job category:Credit Analysis and Risk ManagementContract:PermanentRemuneration:Market RelatedEE position:NoAbout our companyCity Logistics understands supply chains and the importance of adding maximum value, as well as providing cost-effective solutions and the highest service levels.Our extensive network throughout Southern Africa has been developed over 30 years, offering an exclusive supply chain solution, specializing in client and fleet requirements.This typically consists of a dedicated pool of vehicles and staff customized to the client's operational needs, enabling the client to share the benefits of our procurement, maintenance and risk management capacity.We are passionate about what we do, passionate about Retail and service excellence.Let us be part of your solution.IntroductionARE YOU OUR NEXT RISK OFFICER?The Risk Officer will be an in-house, permanent team member responsible for supporting and managing daily operational risks within the assigned region, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).This role is critical for addressing the increased workload due to new clients and ensuring continuous, hands on risk mitigation and support.The individual will work closely with the Regional Risk Manager and other departments to protect company assets and maintain a culture of security and compliance.YOUR CORE FOCUS AREAS:Operational Risk Management: Handle day-to-day operational risks and assist with a variety of duties, including risk assessments, accident investigations, and disciplinary hearings.Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular vehicle and store audits with a focus on high-volume clients to ensure compliance and mitigate risks like theft and non-compliance.Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks related to risk management.Proactive Risk Mitigation: Provide a continuous, on-the-ground presence to effectively manage risks in the region.This includes identifying vulnerabilities and assisting in developing long-term strategies.Collaboration: Integrate with other departments, such as Operations and Fleet, to take a comprehensive approach to risk management.Strategic Support: Free up the current regional Risk Manager to focus on high level strategic risks, planning, and training.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:MatricQualification is Risk Management advantageous.3- 5 years' experience within a similar role.Willingness to perform duties after normal operational hours when required to do so.Be prepared to work standby duties on weekends, holidays and after hours when required to do so.Knowledge to conduct investigations and compile statements for internal enquiry purposes.#J-*****-Ljbffr
