You'll own features from database to browser while systematically eliminating the bottlenecks that slow us down. This role requires someone who thinks in systems and delivers solutions that compound in value.

Full-stack features that set new benchmarks for performance and maintainability
Data layer optimizations that turn our biggest pain points into competitive advantages
Rails architecture improvements that make the right patterns easy and the wrong ones hard
AWS-based data pipelines that scale without scaling maintenance overhead
PostgreSQL query patterns that other engineers will actually want to follow
What You Bring
Advanced Rails expertise
AWS infrastructure experience building systems that don't wake you up at night
React/Redux skills for delivering complete features
Integrated AI tooling (Claude Code, Jules, Factory, etc) into your daily workflow
History of successful legacy system modernization in production environments
Who You Are
You get excited about query plans and execution times
You see the whole system when others see individual features
You've learned to leverage AI tools as a force multiplier
You know when to optimize and when to ship
