About the RoleWe are looking for a Core Experience Engineering Lead to guide a small, high-impact engineering team at TestBox.
You will act as both a technical leader and hands-on contributor, ensuring our core systems are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with company goals.
This role combines team leadership, architectural ownership, and cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design.In the first 3-6 months, success means:Building trust and rapport with your team through effective 1:1s and mentorshipTaking ownership of core systems and contributing directly to feature deliveryRaising the bar on code quality, architecture, and engineering practicesPartnering with leadership to scope and prioritize impactful initiativesKey ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and learningProvide hands-on guidance through code reviews, architecture decisions, and problem-solvingOwn the technical vision for core systems, ensuring scalability and performanceDrive database strategy and architecture for reliability and growthCollaborate with Product and Design to define and deliver roadmap initiativesIntroduce new technologies, practices, and patterns to improve the platformRepresent the engineering perspective in strategic company discussionsRequirements6-8 years of software development experience, ideally in full-stack systems2-3 years as a Tech Lead in a B2B SaaS company or fast-scaling startupStrong coding background, with 1-2 years of experience in Python and ReactProven ability to mentor and support engineers professional growthExperience designing scalable database architecturesFamiliarity with agile methodologies and product-driven developmentComfortable with AWS productsAdvanced English (C1 or C2), both written and spokenPreferred QualificationsExperience navigating ambiguity in early-stage or high-growth environmentsTrack record of shaping frontend or full-stack architecture at scaleBackground in driving UI/UX improvements for technical productsCompensation & LogisticsSalary: $80,000 USD + Equity & BenefitsLocation: Caxia do Sul, BrazilFlexible schedule with overlap required for team collaborationAdditional perks include flexible PTO, professional development support, wellness allowances, and remote setup stipendsCompany OverviewTestBox is transforming how software is bought and sold.
