Job DescriptionCICS System Programmer:Has a solid understanding of CICS Transaction Server system internals.Has an understanding of Storage protection, Transaction isolation, and RENTPGM protectionCan independently complete building, configuring, and upgrading CICS Transaction Server regionsDemonstrated experience with Inter-region communication methods such as MRO and ISCDemonstrated experience with installing and supporting vendor products that run within CICS.Demonstrated experience with restoring service and problem resolution through troubleshooting and corrective/preventive actions.Have managed activities involving the coordination of multiple technical resources and groups.Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and still maintain deadlines and milestones.Self-starter having the ability to work independently and also as a team playerExperienced with the standard MVS tools: TSO/ISPF, JCL, IBM Utilities, VSAM Utilities, SDSF, etc.Have exposure to security packages (ACF2, RACF, and/or Top Secret)Demonstrated experience with Disaster Recovery (backup and restore, DR plan creation and maintenance)IBM Assembler language familiarity enough to be able to look at code and dumps and work/understand Exits24 x 7 on-call support rotationAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
