In 2023, we are building a mobile development team to enhance our iOS app and develop an Android app, expanding our global reach.About Your TeamAs a Senior iOS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS application.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams from Hotmart and Teachable to evolve our iOS footprint by leveraging Hotmart's existing iOS architecture (Swift 5, Xcode, CocoaPods) and collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers.As part of Teachable's first mobile engineering team, you will have an incredible opportunity to help shape the future of our mobile products and drive business growth.
You will be part of an international team with a significant impact on both Teachable and Hotmart.You will work remotely with Teachable's US-based teams as well as Hotmart employees based in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo.This is a CLT contract with full benefits, paid in BRL.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and QA engineers to build high-quality products with third-party integrationsContribute to the technical design and architecture of services, databases and applications across the organizationExecute on our product development roadmap to drive the progression of our stack and our team at largeWrite simple, clean, high-quality, well-tested software that delivers user valueSeek out ways to bring in new perspectives to our design, coding and testing best practices, and support review processes (design, code, postmortem)Participate in the team's on-call support rotationContribute to and shape the overall culture and collaboration practices of the teamQualifications4-5+ years of hands-on experience in iOS application development with a focus on Swift, ideally in an agile, startup environmentProficiency in Swift and related technologies such as Cocoa, CocoaPods, Xcode, and UIKitKnowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with backend servicesStrong understanding of iOS architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and VIPERSolid understanding of memory management, concurrency, and multithreading in iOSAbility to clearly communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutionsMentality of leaving the codebase better than you found itExperience designing and implementing technical projects with multiple team members of varying experienceContributed to architecture discussions to drive technical decisions on the teamHumble, collaborative, service-oriented and fast learnerUpholds Teachable and Hotmart's Engineering values, including working as part of a diverse teamSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering, Information Technology, and EducationIndustries: Software Development, Technology, Information and Media, IT Services and IT Consulting
