Senior Go Engineer Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned expert to lead web application development using Go.Key responsibilities include:Developing exceptional problem-solving skills to efficiently identify and solve complex technical issues.Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and non-technical individuals, and collaborating well within a team to share knowledge and mentor junior developers.Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning.Collaborating with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end.Building efficient, reusable, and scalable code while following best practices for security and performance.Developing RESTful APIs to power front-end applications and third-party integrations.Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance to the team.Participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality of the applications.Key Technology RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:At least 6 years of experience as a backend developer.A deep understanding of the Go programming language, including concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels), memory management, and performance optimization.Experience building and deploying scalable and resilient backend services and APIs using Go frameworks (e.g., Gin, Echo, Fiber).A focus on testing, automated testing frameworks, and writing unit tests.Extensive experience with Playwright for end-to-end testing of web applications is an advantage.A proven ability to design, develop, and maintain robust and reliable automated test suites.The capacity to design RESTful APIs, architect software systems (considering scalability, maintainability, and performance).Familiarity with design patterns, microservices, and other software design principles.Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI, CD, and deployment pipelines).Utilization of tools like Git, Docker, and Kubernetes for development and deployment.Previous experience with high volume, high scale distributed systems.Experience working with payment processing platforms, designing, developing, and optimizing API connections for smooth payment workflows.An understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices.
