The Commercial Management Team ensures that all the contracts concluded with clients are done in a manner that protects both parties and ensures that Experian balances risk and reward.
The team is divided into several smaller teams that specialise in the several sectors and sales channels.
We are looking for a new Contracts Lawyer to report into the dynamic Commercial Contracts Legal team who provide specialist legal advice and support in the contracting process.
What you'll do:
Manage Master Services Agreements, partner contracts (resellers, referrers, intermediaries), and other client or supplier agreements
Develop contract templates and product-specific terms and conditions for new offerings
Review standard terms to reflect business and regulatory changes
Ensure all contracts align with internal legal policies and escalate exceptions
Collaborate with internal legal experts on data protection, FCA regulation, and compliance matters
Provide legal training to sales and business teams, promoting best practices and adherence to procedures
Help integrate contracts into automation and review systems

Experience and Skills
What you'll bring:
+4 years similar experience
A commitment to the use of IT and automated systems to help deliver legal services
An understanding of the importance of knowledge management
Proficiency in English
Post-qualification experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts (including data and technology-related agreements)
Qualification as one of the following:
Solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive (in England & Wales, Northern Ireland, or Scotland)
A qualified lawyer in a member state of the European Union
A qualified lawyer in another common-law jurisdiction
