Job Title:Data Engineer for Cloud and Unix Systems About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team.
This individual will be responsible for administering and supporting Unix-based environments that host data processing services, operating and maintaining ETL pipelines integrating data from multiple global sources into centralized storage, performing log analysis, debugging, and root cause investigations in real-time production systems, supporting services hosted in AWS, including resource and file management, collaborating with global development and support teams, and contributing to the final stages of a multi-year development effort preparing for full production release.
Key Responsibilities:Administer and support Unix-based environments that host data processing services.Operate and maintain ETL pipelines integrating data from multiple global sources into centralized storage.Perform log analysis, debugging, and root cause investigations in real-time production systems.Support services hosted in AWS, including resource and file management.Collaborate with global development and support teams.Contribute to the final stages of a multi-year development effort.
Requirements:Minimum 4-6 years of experience.Strong experience as a Unix System Administrator.Proficiency in log analysis, root cause analysis, and production debugging.Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architectures.Exposure to Java (for debugging purposes).
Familiarity with AWS cloud environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
English is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to financial data pipelines or market data platforms.Background in L2 application support in a regulated, high-availability environment.
