High-Level Linux Engineer For Real-Time Data Systems

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our team in maintaining and enhancing real-time data systems powering one of the world's leading investment banks.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux System Administration, scripting proficiency (Bash and/or Python preferred), and experience with networking and connectivity skills, such as multicast, routing, switches, and TCP/IP.Key ResponsibilitiesResolve data quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and managing internal and external vendors to resolve data issues.Support on-call incident management, problem, and change management.Ensure optimal accuracy and timeliness of data on a real-time basis while implementing monitoring tools to detect data issues.Collaborate with regional and global market data infrastructure teams to share knowledge and experience and enrich the team's capability.Manage L2 alerts that require knowledge for resolutions, create and/or update resolutions into knowledge base, run books, scripts, and ITRS rules where possible.Manage incident lifecycle from identification to resolution, ensuring mitigation of business impact in the production environment.Manage the process of making production changes to the ticker plant, including mandatory updates which includes content, software changes/upgrades performed by vendors or internal teams where only checkouts are necessary.Other responsibilities include release management, event management, user support, and reporting.Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Linux System Administration and scripting proficiency (Bash and/or Python preferred).Experience with networking and connectivity skills, such as multicast, routing, switches, and TCP/IP is also essential.BenefitsThis role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team.The ideal candidate will be able to grow professionally and take on new challenges.
