Premier Data Systems Engineer

About This RoleWe are seeking an accomplished data systems engineer to maintain and enhance the real-time data systems powering a leading investment bank.You will handle alert and incident management, problem resolution, and system improvements, ensuring uptime and performance for global trading and data services.Key Responsibilities:Resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis while collaborating with internal and external vendors.Support on-call, incident management, problem, and change management.Ensure optimal accuracy and timeliness of data on a real-time basis by implementing monitoring tools.Collaborate with market data infrastructure teams to share knowledge and experience.L2 Alert Management: manage alerts requiring knowledge for resolutions and create/update resolutions in knowledge bases.Incident Management: manage incident lifecycles from identification to resolution.Change Management: manage production changes to ticker plants, including content and software updates.Other responsibilities include release management, event management, user support, and reporting.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have:A minimum of 7 years' experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles.Highly skilled in Linux system administration.Experience with Windows operating systems.Scripting proficiency (Bash and/or Python preferred).Familiarity with networking and connectivity skills (multicast, routing, switches, TCP/IP).Excellent communication and oral/written English skills.Understanding of ITIL Foundation and IT best practices.Prior experience in banking, investment, or other financial IT environments is advantageous.Nice-to-Have SkillsThe following skills are desirable but not mandatory:Experience with ITRS Geneos, EXEGY (Wombat/Vela), or Market Data platforms (Refinitiv TREP/RTDS, Bloomberg).Familiarity with AWS ECS, AWS VPC, Google Cloud.Experience with GitHub/GitLab and automation pipelines.What We OfferWe offer:A modern, dynamic environment within a top global institution.Fully remote or hybrid options.Continuous learning and certification opportunities.Competitive salary and benefits package.Long-term career prospects with international exposure.Inclusive, multicultural team with regular knowledge-sharing and team events.
