The company: We are a global custom software development and IT project staffing organization without geographic restrictions; we operate globally, navigating technology and business challenges with expertise.Our U.S. headquarters are in San Diego, California and we also have strategically located development centers in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay.Our Latin America headquarters are based in Porto Alegre, Brazil, with a branch in São Paulo.For over two decades, we have been globally recognized in the software and innovation market for delivering projects with added value, crafted by agile teams of skilled professionals.Check out our international page atThe project: We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineer for this fully remote opportunity to work with a US-based client in the mortgage insurance field.You should have strong testing fundamentals and solid hands-on experience in BDD with Cucumber, API validation (REST and SOAP), and end-to-end automated testing.Responsibilities:• Designand implement BDD test scenarios using Cucumber.• ValidateRESTful APIs (POST, DELETE, etc.) and SOAP services, designing detailed androbust test cases.• Developautomated tests using tools such as Rest Assured (for API testing) andPlaywright (for end-to-end testing).• Identifyedge cases and hidden requirements within test flows.•Collaborate with the development team to define test coverage KPIs and suggestimprovements (e.g., via tools like Sonar).•Communicate clearly in English with international teams and work independently.Requirements:• 5+ yearsof experience in quality control.• Proficientin Cucumber and automated API testing tools like REST Assured.•Experience with Playwright or similar tools for UI automation.• Goodunderstanding of SOAP web service testing.• Strongattention to detail and critical thinking in identifying testing coverage gaps.• Advancedwritten and spoken level of English.• Familiaritywith CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.• Experiencewith non-functional testing with JMeter or Gatling.
