Senior DevOps Engineer OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team focused on building large-scale, low-latency data platforms.The ideal candidate is a skilled engineer who can contribute immediately to solving complex challenges, driving technical excellence, and enhancing our DevOps and backend infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain highly available and scalable systems and APIs.Lead and own DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipeline management, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform ensuring secure reproducible automated deployments.Collaborate closely with stakeholders product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve existing systems.Ensure disaster recovery readiness and compliance with security best practices.Manage and optimize AWS services S3 RDS EventBridge SQS IAM VPC ECR etc.Deploy and manage Kubernetes EKS clusters and Docker images in production environments.Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and drive root cause analysis.Maintain high standards of code quality testing and documentation.Work collaboratively across engineering teams Platform Security UX to ensure seamless integration and delivery.Qualifications8+ years of professional experience in functional programming with Node.js / JavaScript.Proven experience with DevOps practices and cloud-native environments.Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes EKS and Docker.Expertise with AWS S3 RDS EventBridge SQS DMS Security Groups IAM VPCs ECR.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases MSSQL PostgreSQL MySQL Aurora RDS.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.Familiarity with Terraform infrastructure as code.Solid understanding of application security and use of security tools e.g. Wiz Snyk.Strong debugging issue resolution and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.Pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship.Nice to Have SkillsExperience with automated database migrations and versioning.Background in API integration and distribution systems.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools e.g. Prometheus Grafana.Exposure to multi-region cloud deployments.Previous experience supporting regulated industries or compliance-driven environments.Passion for mentoring team members and driving engineering best practices.Avenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR LGPD CCPA and CPRA.
