Data EngineerLocation: Brazil, Fully RemoteType: Full-time (8 hours/day)Setup: Consultancy / FreelanceLevel: Senior-Mid LevelIndustry: Software IT / Saa SShift: EST Time ZoneEquipment: Must have own machine; equipment not providedPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data migration pipelines that enable seamless transitions from legacy systems into our Saa S platform. You will work closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and long-term scalability across our product ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to migrate customer data from various legacy systems into the SDL Saa S platformTransform datasets across multiple formats (e.g., SQL databases, APIs, flat files like CSV) ensuring data integrity and consistencyBuild reusable components and tooling that support repeatable and scalable migration processesAutomate data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows to improve performance and efficiencyPartner with customers and cross-functional teams to deeply understand data requirements and resolve data-related challengesApply best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and deployment to maintain a robust engineering ecosystemParticipate in peer code reviews and contribute to evolving engineering standards as we scaleSupport ongoing process improvement by helping build foundational data engineering capabilities Job RequirementsProven experience in data engineering , ETL development , or data migration within a Saa S environmentProficiency in Python for data transformation and automation scriptingStrong hands-on knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databasesAbility to work with multiple data formats (e.g., CSV, structured/unstructured sources)Strong analytical mindset with high attention to data accuracy and qualityAbility to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersKnowledge of software development best practices, including version control and code reviews Preferred QualificationsExperience with GIS technologies and spatial data formats such as shapefilesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)Experience building scalable data pipelines and automating complex workflowsUnderstanding of distributed systems or large-scale data processing architectures
