Game Development Architect Lead About Project Kingpin: Project Kingpin is an ambitious and fresh take on crime-strategy games that we're excited to bring to life.Job Description As a Game Development Architect Lead, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the foundation of this game from the ground up.You'll oversee architecture, ensuring code quality, and mentoring developers.Design and develop architectural proposals for engine systems, ensuring they meet desired functionality and performance standards.Propose tools or technologies that could enhance engine system support.Own and drive engine topics, making key decisions.Solve performance and scale challenges with creative solutions.Oversee code reviews, workflows, and best practices.Identify technical risks and propose mitigations.Stay updated on game dev tools and industry trends.Collaborate with design, art, and production teams to integrate features.Lead and mentor a team of developers with Unity/C# focus.Required Skills and Qualifications We're looking for someone with 6+ years of professional game development experience, with 1+ year of leadership/mentorship role.Strong proficiency with Unity and C# is required.Extensive knowledge in one or more engine related areas, including rendering, tools, physics, asset/build pipeline is necessary.System architecture skills, code debugging and optimization expertise, problem-solving and initiative-taking ability are essential.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Self-motivation, work ethic, and independent work ability.Performance optimization, memory management, and debugging understanding.Benefits This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile project, contribute to the growth and success of our company, and collaborate with experienced professionals in the gaming industry.How to Apply To be considered for this position, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications.
