About SkipSkip empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners to succeed by providing access to funding, resources, and expertise.With a strong track record of growth, over 1 million business owners trust Skip to simplify complex processes.Your RoleAs a lead engineer on our AI & product team, you'll design and develop new AI-powered tools that give entrepreneurs a competitive edge.You'll work closely with the founder, product, and design teams to bring innovative ideas from prototype to production and directly impact millions of business owners.Key Responsibilities:Design and ship new AI features using OpenAI APIs, vector embeddings, and smart chat flows.Develop systems that combine user data, business context, and public funding info to make every AI interaction feel personalized.Contribute to Skip's entire product stack: React/Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, and Supabase.Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate to deliver high-quality features to users.Collaborate with product, design, and customer feedback to drive product decisions.About You5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with some AI, LLM, or RAG experience.Proficient in TypeScript, React/Next.js, and building consumer or SMB-facing applications.Passionate about solving real problems for real entrepreneurs.Confident communicator in English, able to work closely with a remote team.You care about making a meaningful impact.Why This Role?You'll be a key contributor to Skip's AI Cofounder, shaping the future of entrepreneurship.You'll join an inspiring and motivated team.You'll have significant product and technical ownership.You'll see your work help real businesses every day.
