About FLSmidthFLSmidth is a global leader in sustainable technology and services for the mining and cement industries.With over 140 years of innovation, we enable our customers to move towards zero emissions and zero waste operations.At FLSmidth, we believe in fostering a work culture rooted in safety, collaboration, integrity, and continuous development.Key HighlightsHands-on engineering in the heart of mining operations – Work directly on high-impact projects with world-class equipment and cutting-edge technology.Travel & grow across Brazil – Gain invaluable field experience at diverse mine sites, with opportunities for international exposure in South America.Join a global industry leader in sustainability – Be part of FLSmidth's mission to drive zero-emission mining while advancing your career in a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.Role PurposeThe Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, on-site services, and engineering support to FLSmidth customers across Brazil.This role ensures the proper installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of FLSmidth equipment, driving customer satisfaction and long-term equipment performance.You will act as a key technical liaison between customers and our engineering, product, and service teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform installation supervision, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspections of FLSmidth equipment at customer sites.Provide hands-on technical support for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Ensure work is carried out safely and in compliance with FLSmidth and customer safety standards.Support root cause analysis (RCA) and provide recommendations to optimize performance.Deliver clear and professional service reports, documentation, and feedback to internal teams.Train customer personnel on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and best practices.Collaborate with the commercial and engineering teams to identify opportunities for service improvement and aftermarket solutions.Actively represent FLSmidth in customer interactions, building trust and long-term relationships.Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition and adhere to field safety protocols.Travel to various mine sites within Brazil and occasionally to other countries in South America.Technical Skills and KnowledgeSolid knowledge of mechanical and/or electromechanical equipment such as HPGRs, crushers, sizers, ball/vert mills, thickners, filters, flotation cells, rotary kilns or related machines.Familiarity with hydraulic systems, instrumentation, and process.Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and service software.Knowledge of maintenance best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronic Engineering or similar.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in field service of the above equipment.Experience working in mine sites or heavy industrial environments.Strong communication and customer service orientation.Proficiency in Portuguese (required) and intermediate English and/or Spanish (reading/writing/speaking).Availability to travel frequently (up to 90%) within Brazil and occasionally internationally.Valid driver's license.Behavioural TraitsHigh level of personal responsibility and safety awareness.Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Adaptable to dynamic environments and changing customer needs.Clear communicator and capable of delivering technical information to non-technical audiences.What We OfferA role in a purpose-driven company contributing to a more sustainable mining industry.Professional development, training, and growth opportunities in a global organization.Exposure to cutting-edge technology.Competitive compensation, benefits, and supportive work environment.Equal Opportunity EmployerAs an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an inclusive environment.We encourage candidates from all backgrounds and perspectives to apply; in our commitment to equal opportunity and eliminating bias, we kindly ask that you exclude personal information such as age, ethnicity, number of children, and photographs from your application materials.FLSmidth requires all individuals to have the appropriate work visas.Otherwise, we will not be able to process your application.#J-*****-Ljbffr
