AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups across 17+ industries.We rank among the leaders in areas like application development and AI/ML, and our people-first culture has earned us multiple Best Place to Work awards.WHY JOIN USIf you're looking for a place to grow, make an impact, and work with people who care, we'd love to meet youAbout The RoleAs a SDET Engineer, you'll take ownership of building and driving a modern testing culture from the ground up.This role goes beyond traditional QA — you'll design and evolve automated testing frameworks, guide developers in adopting a shift-left approach, and ensure quality is integrated throughout the entire development lifecycle.By combining your Python expertise with a passion for testing excellence, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, scalable software that makes an impact.What You Will DoBecome the first SDET in the team and define how we approach testing;Drive the testing infrastructure and ensure high-quality standards across our product;Mentor and support developers to take ownership of their own testing;Collaborate closely with engineers to co-own and write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance);Promote a "shift-left" QA mindset, embedding testing throughout the development process rather than leaving it as a final stage;Continuously improve our testing practices, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and reliability.MUST HAVESStrong experience of at least 4 years as a Python engineer (building production systems);Proven track record designing and implementing automated testing frameworks;Hands-on experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance/load testing;Product-focused mindset with curiosity about the bigger picture;Proactive, takes ownership, and responsible for outcomes;Bias for action: able to quickly test, iterate, and make decisions without getting stuck;Scrappy mindset: focus on delivering business value over unnecessary perfection;Ability to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment with honesty and radical candor;Full overlap with Eastern European Time or at least 6+ hours;Upper-Intermediate English level.NICE TO HAVESExperience with Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI);Frontend experience (testing approaches and frameworks such as Vue.js or React);Early-stage startup experience;Experience building with LLMs or agentic AI systems;Leadership experience.Perks And BenefitsProfessional growth: Accelerate your professional journey with mentorship, TechTalks, and personalized growth roadmaps.Competitive compensation: We match your ever-growing skills, talent, and contributions with competitive USD-based compensation and budgets for education, fitness, and team activities.A selection of exciting projects: Join projects with modern solutions development and top-tier clients that include Fortune 500 enterprises and leading product brands.Flextime: Tailor your schedule for an optimal work-life balance, by having the options of working from home and going to the office – whatever makes you the happiest and most productive.#J-18808-Ljbffr
