Strategic Sourcing Engineer-Purchaser - Energy & Mechanical ProductsSr.Manager | Category | Strategic Sourcing | Procurement | Business Excellence | Process, Programs, Projects, Tools & Analytics.Direct message the job poster from Atlas Copco GroupMissionAs a Strategic Sourcing Engineer/Specialist, your mission is to manage the procurement of key materials, products, components, and services from product development to serial production.This role will develop sourcing strategies, lead RFXs, negotiations, category management, build supplier partnerships, mitigate risk, and ensure consistent supply while improving cost and quality.You will work closely with teams across R&D, engineering, quality, and operations to match supplier capabilities with technical and business needs.The ideal candidate has strong engineering skills, sourcing expertise, strategic and analytic thinking, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.You willDevelop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with our vision, emphasizing cost efficiency, manufacturability, quality, optimized lead times, and risk mitigation.Being responsible for a region and aligning with Global/Divisional strategies.Lead RFX processes, negotiating pricing (CTO, CBD), contracts, and payment terms with suppliers.Leverage market intelligence, commodity trend, financial index, benchmarking, and cost modeling to evaluate RFXs.Benchmark global supplier markets and maintain a competitive supplier database.Take responsibility for the procurement of direct material from international suppliers to local.Responsible for all sourcing-related activities, including, but not limited to, the sourcing process, price control, proposal analysis, negotiating improved value, awarding & implementing contracts.Work with engineers to source materials and services that align with product requirements.Analyze and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operations.Establish robust communication strategies to report on program status, communicate critical issues and offer solutions, and implement corrective actions.Ability to handle multiple high-visibility, high-priority initiatives effectively, independently, and under competing constraintsProvide clear, data-driven updates to internal stakeholders through presentations and reports.Ensure that procured materials and services meet company standards, budget requirements, and vendor qualifications.Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and overall compliance.Work with legal counsel to ensure procurement contracts accurately reflect negotiated terms.Perform other duties as assigned.To succeed, you will needA minimum of 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management,RFXs, negotiation ,supply quality, performance and relationship, preferably in a fast-paced environment.Experience with direct material – Mechanical Product categories or Energy Products (2 positions)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated expertise and domain knowledge in one or more manufacturing processes, ex: machining, stamping, forging, casting, welding, coating, etc.Strong analytical, project management, and negotiation skillsDemonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship managementProficient in data analysis and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (desirable)Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, and analytical with strong problem-solving skillsSkilled in making data-driven decisions with a strong analytical mindsetSelf-motivated and resourceful with a proactive approach to procurement.Experience with Supplier management and Contract negotiationCommercial acumen and strategic skillsFluent/advance EnglishIn return, we offerCulture of trust and accountability;Lifelong learning and career growth;Innovation powered by people;Comprehensive compensation and benefits;Health and well-being.LocationHybridAlphaville – Barueri/SP, Brazil with a planned move to Sorocaba, São Paulo, in ****Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionPurchasing and Supply ChainIndustriesMachinery Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
