About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Residential Building Designer to join our team.As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating and refining construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.Your primary focus will be on developing residential building designs that balance function, aesthetics, and compliance with local regulations and Canadian building codes.Design and develop residential building plans, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.Create detailed technical documents, including specifications and construction methods.Collaborate with clients, builders, and internal stakeholders to bring projects from concept to reality.Analyze and apply relevant building codes, zoning laws, and design requirements to ensure compliance.Contribute to a collaborative environment where creative solutions and innovative ideas thrive.RequirementsDemonstrated experience in architecture, planning, or technical design, specifically in apartment buildings.Proficiency in producing high-quality technical documents and construction plans.In-depth understanding of building codes, construction practices, and regulatory frameworks.Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and offer fresh perspectives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
