Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of Golang-based microservices powering Cloudflare's billing systems.As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing RESTful APIs, integrating with external financial and operational systems, managing containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.You will also be working on event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues across distributed systems, and contributing to continuous improvement of system reliability, scalability, and security.Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang or proven ability to quickly ramp up.Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.BenefitsThis is an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers, contribute to cutting-edge technology, and grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.
