Role Description This is a contract remote role for a Software Engineer specializing in Kotlin , Open SRP (v2) , and FHIR Core .
The engineer will be responsible for both mobile (Android) and web (front-end and back-end) development.
Daily responsibilities include: Customizing and extending the Open SRP v2 open-source platform Developing and maintaining features integrated with FHIR Core Writing, testing, and maintaining robust, scalable code Collaborating with remote teams across multiple time zones Ensuring software meets business needs and follows best industry practices Qualifications Strong background in Computer Science , Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) , and Software Engineering Proven experience modifying the Open SRP v2 source code and working with its architecture Solid knowledge of Kotlin , FHIR Core , and Android SDK Experience in both Front-End and Back-End web development Familiarity with agile methodologies and team-based workflows Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in collaborative remote environments Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Previous experience in healthcare technology is a strong plus Compensation & Availability Hourly paid position (in BRL) - Up to R$50,00 Open to part-time , full-time , or hourly commitment (min. 3h/day)100% Remote Work hours must overlap with time zones between BRT (UTC-3) , EST (UTC-5) , and CST (UTC-6) Immediate start Candidates must apply by sending their desired hourly rate (in BRL)
