NET Developer with deep database ownership experience to join our growing engineering team. This role is intentionally hybrid: you will design and build software while also owning the reliability, performance, scalability, and cost management of our SQL databases.This position is ideal for a senior engineer who is database-centric but not database-only—someone who enjoys writing production code, building features that interact heavily with data, and taking responsibility for how the database performs in real-world, high-availability environments.You will work across application code, database architecture, and Azure infrastructure, partnering closely with product and engineering leadership to deliver scalable, reliable systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Architecture, Performance & OwnershipDesign, evolve, and optimize database schemas, indexes, queries, and stored procedures to support high-performance application workloadsOwn database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning across environmentsManage availability, backup/restore, disaster recovery, and survivability strategies in Azure SQLMonitor and proactively address performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, blocking, and resource contentionOwn database cost management in Azure, including sizing, scaling strategies, and cost optimizationEnsure data integrity, security, and operational excellence throughout the application lifecycle Software Development & Feature DeliveryDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and services using C# and. NETBuild application features that interact deeply with the database, balancing correctness, performance, and maintainabilityDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services that integrate with internal and third-party systemsParticipate in architectural discussions and influence technical direction across the stackPerform code reviews and mentor team members on best practices in both application and database developmentTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers Azure Cloud & Dev OpsDesign and operate solutions using Microsoft Azure, with a focus on reliability and observabilitySupport CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices using Azure Dev OpsWork with monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and rapid issue resolutionCollaborate on infrastructure decisions that impact scalability, performance, and cost Required QualificationsExperience & EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience7+ years of professional experience in C#/. NET software developmentStrong written and spoken English (C1 or C2 proficiency) Technical Skills (Priority Order)Strong SQL Server / Azure SQL expertise, including: Advanced T-SQLStored procedures and query optimizationIndexing strategies and execution plan analysisPerformance tuning and troubleshootingProven experience owning database operations, including: Backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recoveryPerformance monitoring and scalingCost and capacity management in AzureExpert-level proficiency in C#,.
