Mid Level Ruby on Rails DevLocation: Remote Latin America (Central Time Zone)English: Advanced to Fluent (C1C2)Reports to: VP of Software EngineeringStart Date: Late September ****About the roleWe're looking for a mid-level Ruby on Rails developer to join The N2 Company's growing in-house engineering team.You'll help us transition key development work from an outsourced vendor to our internal team, focusing on building and improving our platform while reducing technical debt.You'll work closely with senior developers, product, and design to roll out new features quickly, support architectural simplification, and maintain high standards of quality and scalability.This is a long-term role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in building maintainable, elegant solutions.What You'll DoDevelop, test, and maintain high-quality Ruby on Rails applications.Implement features and improvements using Hotwire and Stimulus as core tools.Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver business requirements rapidly in days, not weeks.Assist in paying down technical debt while scaling the current Rails infrastructure.Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and team discussions to improve overall code quality.Support operational needs, including bug fixes and small system enhancements.Requirements3-5 years of professional Ruby on Rails development experience.Proficiency with Hotwire and Stimulus (non-negotiable).Experience working with large codebases and complex data sets.Strong understanding of continuous delivery and deployment pipelines.Comfortable working in a fully remote team, with clear and proactive communication.Advanced to fluent English (C1-C2).Nice-to-HavesExposure to Kamal for deployment.Familiarity with SOLID tools (SOLID Cache, SOLID Cable, SOLID Queue).Experience with AWS Fargate or other cloud deployment environments.Previous experience in startup or high-growth environments.Track record of contributing to architectural improvements.Job description created by latamcent.com, a nearshore staffing agency.#J-*****-Ljbffr
