Join us and help us grow.We are looking for a Strategy and Sales Operations leader for the AWS LatAm (Latin America) Global Sales Operations team to help drive long-term growth of the business.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and motivated self-starter who is passionate about using data and has a track record of leadership to help us measure and run every area of the business and influence decision-making.
In this role, the candidate will develop and execute AWS LatAm business cadences, continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historical results, and make business recommendations based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity.
As the COO to the VP of AWS LatAm and a member of the AWS LatAm leadership team, this role will develop, implement, and manage the business processes, systems, reports, and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
The scope for LatAm Geo covers AWS markets across Latin America which are organized in 4 Areas – Mexico, Brazil, and an aggregation of multiple countries grouped under North LatAm (NOLA), and South LatAm (SOLA) respectively, each of which are managed by an Area Sales leader who reports to the VP Sales LatAm.ResponsibilitiesLead change management through direct team leadership and cross-functional influenceImprove reporting tools and processes to enhance data accessibility and insightsDevelop and execute business targets aligned with organizational visionDrive scalable solutions to complex business challengesBuild and lead high-performing teamsTranslate complex analytics into clear, actionable insightsCollaborate effectively with sales and functional teamsDemonstrate strong project and change management capabilitiesExhibit effective communication and stakeholder relationship management, analytical insight, and be a passionate advocate for customers to internal stakeholdersKey job responsibilitiesServe as a key partner and advisor to the Vice President of AWS LatAm, supporting and/or representing them when neededDrive the operating model to support growth strategies, including Public Sector-specific initiativesSupport the execution and scaling of Generative AI initiatives to unlock data-driven insights and support customer innovationCollaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisionsServe as an active member of the AWS LatAm Geo leadership team, contributing to initiatives and decisionsLead the annual LatAm Geo/Area goals recommendations, budgeting, and ongoing forecasting processesUse metrics and supporting business dashboards to give visibility to senior management regarding business operations and customer segment performanceWork cross-functionally to drive overall sales organization readiness, including territory planning, investment guidance, and headcount allocationHelp build and drive strategic change plans across the sales organizationDrive the operating model to support growth strategiesAssist in defining, landing, and executing strategic initiatives for the LatAm field sales teamsCollaborate with internal end-users and cross-functional teams to incubate new programs and implement new initiatives with the field sales teamsQualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field10+ years in a senior leadership role in Finance, Sales Operations, Business Development, e.g. the development and implementation of systems/tool utilized for CRM, sales compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, etc.Strong business-process design experience.
Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing resultsAble to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quicklyStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior managementPreferred QualificationsExperience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficialMBA or other relevant advanced degreeAbout The TeamAbout AWSDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences.
