About the roleAs part of the Strategic Finance team, you will play a key leadership role in scaling the financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities specifically for Brazil Mobility and across Latin America FP&A.
You will empower decision-makers across our different businesses and functions within this critical region, with strong visibility into the organization.
You'll contribute to high-impact strategic and operational initiatives, using data and insight to drive real-time decisions that help Uber grow, scale, and become more profitable—while creating more opportunities for platform users across LatAm.
This role requires a broader perspective and puts strong emphasis on strategic thinking, people leadership, and cross-functional influence.What you'll doFinancial and operational planning: Be the primary finance point of contact for Brazil and act as the gatekeeper of LatAm's financials, consolidating the four regions and centralizing processes to enable more efficient operationsBusiness partnership: Work closely with leadership across Brazil Mobility and LatAm, applying financial insights and business judgment to guide decisions on new initiatives, capital allocation, and efficiency strategiesStrategic analysis and execution: Deliver strategic analyses to inform decisions on marketplace dynamics, promotions, and pricing.
Partner with the team to execute projects and operationalize insights to achieve business targetsSophisticated financial modeling and variance analysis: Build and improve models from scratch, deconstruct complex problems, and run monthly variance analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation actionsCollaboration with accounting and central teams: Ensure alignment between financials, strategy, and execution by working with accounting and other central functions to refine reporting processes and understanding of actualsProcess improvement and scale: Support Uber's growth by helping evolve the organization's financial processes and tools, improving scalability and decision-makingAd hoc analysis and change leadership: Conduct ad hoc deep-dives to surface cost or growth opportunities and act as a change agent who proactively influences direction, priorities, and adoption across teamsWhat you'll needBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or another quantitative field10+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, and/or Consulting, ideally in high-growth or large organizationsAdvanced Excel and deck-building skills; familiarity with Google SheetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levelsFluency in English and Portuguese (essential for this Brazil-focused role)Bonus pointsStrategic leadership: Ability to define and communicate a vision for Finance and align it to measurable, ROI-driven objectivesTrusted advisor and influencer: Comfort interacting with senior leadership and driving consensus across functions, including proactive conflict resolution and negotiationOperational excellence: Proven track record managing complex initiatives, orchestrating cross-functional resources, and optimizing organizational efficiencyIndustry experience in technology companiesStrong analytical mindset, with a high attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize in ambiguous, high-growth settingsTeam-oriented mindset with a collaborative, low-ego approachBasic understanding of GAAPExperience with enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, or statistical toolsWe welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
