Software Development EngineerAvalarais an AI-first company.We expect every engineer, manager, and leader to actively leverage AI to enhance productivity, quality, innovation, and customer value.You will lead in updating solutions used by some of our largest customers, including national governments.You will report directly to the senior manager of the department and bring expertise in architectural principles, system design best practices, driving creation of platforms that address complex challenges and empower global organizations.You will demand a blend of technical leadership and hands-on execution.This is a fully remote position; however, candidates residing in Brazil only will be accepted.What each responsibility will exploit:Contribute as we choose our developments: Participate daily coding tasks collaborating with teams to solve complex tactical challenges designing scalable solutions contributed directly to the delivery of high-quality softwareOptimization Focus: Address performance, scalability, observability, and security challenges through design and optimization strategiesCollaboration: Partner with product managers, UX designers, and team members alike to integrate technical solutions with our goals.Represent the team in architectural expert boardsDocumentation: Create comprehensive information about the new APIs, system diagrams, architectural deliberations, and design patternsRisk Management: Find and address technical risks eventually ensuring lasting durability understanding of goal sets and the teamLeverage AI copilots, code generation tools, and assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT) to promote coding efficiency, testing documentation, and prototypingContinuously upskill in AI-related technology applicable to daily workWhat needs to be conquered for success:Experience: 3+ years in software development and architecture, demonstrated expertise in building large-scale distributed systems for enterprise environmentsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProficiency in C# or JavaExperience tab built maintain and support foundational shared services supporting cloud-native applicationsProficiency in RESTful API, OAUTH, secure authentication protocolsExperience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and databases such Postgres, MongoDBHands-on experience with public cloud providers and DevOps tools (e.g. Terraform, GCP)Development Practices: Agile methodologies, TDD, CD pipelineSoft Skills: Experience approaching problems from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions, Experience communicating updates and evaluation to customers, other partners, and approached driven engagementEnglish Fluency: Fluent English is required for this roleOnly resumes submitted in English will be considered
