At Rain, the fastest-growing earned wage access fintech in the U.S., we serve 3.5 million employees and have raised nearly $400M in funding.We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer in LATAM to manage backend platform areas, including API integrations with third-party vendors and partners.As a Backend Engineer on our Enterprise Tribe, you'll focus on data integration, ingestion, and payroll processing to provide financial freedom to over 1 million employees by managing the data ingestion of over 10 million timekeeping records per day.Responsibilities:Translate product requirements into technical solutions and lead engineering efforts to meet ambitious targetsDesign and implement reliable systems and applications in a microservices architectureBuild and maintain integrations with third-party vendors and partnersImplement highly available RESTful APIs for user-facing web and mobile applicationsCreate reusable code and libraries that can be shared across teamsEnforce observability best practices using logging, metrics, and alerting systemsDocument solutions, including architecture designs, APIs, workflows, and system configurationsMonitor systems and applications for opportunities to maximize performance and scalabilityCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align priorities and ensure seamless coordinationRequirements:5+ years of software development experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experienceProficient knowledge of back-end programming languagesStrong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIsExperience with SQL and NoSQL database technologiesExperience building reliable and scalable applicationsProficiency in designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices architecturesExcellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearlyUp-to-date knowledge of technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, and ECSAbility to take ownership of projects and drive initiatives from concept to completionExperience working with agile methodologies and release management
