Role OverviewAs a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing the testing of a particular ticket, whether a story, bug, or otherwise, from beginning to end of the Testing Life Cycle.
You will work directly with all members of our Agile Engineering team.
The testing encompasses various Software QA practices, from manual, functional, end-to-end, stress, regression, smoke, etc.
You will participate in daily stand-ups, various Engineering team meetings, and QA team meetings.ResponsibilitiesWork on testing user stories or bug tickets with minimal supervisionWork closely with Developers to understand the feature or bug being testedDocument test cases and test resultsCommunicate test status and results to the Engineering teamTroubleshoot and analyze issues reported by the Customer Success teamInteract with various departments within the company such as DevOps, Product, and Design teamsParticipate in requirements analysis and provide input on testing proceduresPerform regression testing in the Staging EnvironmentSkillsSolid knowledge of SQL and executing queriesJIRA and ConfluenceJenkins for code deliveryOpen search for log tracingKnowledge of REST API using Swagger and/or PostmanStrong knowledge of testing methodologies such as black box, white box, smoke, and unit testingEagerness to learn new skills quickly and adopt effective testing methodologies.Proficiency in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test documentsSome knowledge of the AWS platformDemonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsEducation and ExperienceBachelor of Science degree in an IT or business field, preferably Computer Science or Computer Information Systems; or equivalent work experience3-5 years of direct Software QA Analysis or Engineering experienceWhy Join Us?
