Senior Backend Engineer - CloudflareWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Cloudflare.As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our backend systems.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Golang and experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.You will work closely with our development team to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence across our distributed systems.Required Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experienceStrong hands-on experience with GolangExperience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservicesSolid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deploymentFamiliarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)Experience working in Unix/Linux environmentsStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesNice to Have SkillsExperience integrating with ERP systems such as Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, or NetSuiteFamiliarity with API standards and tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, OAuth, JWT)Exposure to Temporal or similar orchestration toolsKnowledge of distributed systems, security best practices, and observabilityThis is an exciting opportunity to work on complex problems, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
