OverviewWe are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to lead modernization and migration initiatives while delivering scalable, secure cloud-based solutions.This role is critical in managing AWS infrastructure, enhancing operational standards, and promoting team collaboration for seamless system and process integration.ResponsibilitiesDeploy AWS services such as ECS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and CloudWatchDesign scalable cloud-native solutions for application infrastructureConduct server patching, monitoring, backup, and scaling workloads in AWSCreate automation scripts and tools for provisioning using AnsibleSet up Ansible-driven configuration management for updates and system stateCoordinate hybrid systems throughout migration processesBuild CI/CD pipelines for automated application and infrastructure deploymentFacilitate the adoption of modern tools like GitHub and version control practicesRun containerized workloads using Docker and AWS ECS/EKSEstablish data pipelines with services such as AWS Glue for data movementDevelop secure APIs for exposing and integrating dataConfigure networking setups including VPCs, load balancers, and hybrid cloud connectionsEnable communication between on-premises systems and AWS resourcesSupport teams in automation, cloud-native operations, and system enhancementsWork in collaboration with engineering, DevOps, development, and analytics teams during migration processesRequirements5+ years of experience within systems engineering, cloud operations, or DevOps1+ years of leadership experience in a relevant domainKnowledge of AWS services like ECS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and CloudWatchSkills in IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and configuration management with AnsibleBackground in containerized workloads via Docker or AWS ECS/EKS, and CI/CD pipeline creationFamiliarity with hybrid cloud connectivity and networking configurations such as VPCs and security groupsExpertise in developing secure APIs and integrating data pipelines (e.g., AWS Glue)Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ levelNice to haveIAM configurations and secure API management certificationWe offerInternational projects with top brandsWork with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peersEmployee financial programsPaid time off and sick leaveUpskilling, reskilling and certification coursesUnlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ coursesGlobal career opportunitiesVolunteer and community involvement opportunitiesEPAM Employee GroupsAward-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedInDetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering, Information Technology, and Business DevelopmentIndustries: Software Development, IT Services and IT Consulting, and Retail#J-18808-Ljbffr
