For over 40 years, Dogtra has been a trusted name in dog training and safety, delivering innovative solutions to professional trainers and dog owners both nationwide and internationally.Our advanced training, tracking, and monitoring systems support all types of dogs—from beloved family pets to skilled hunting companions and dedicated K9 working dogs.At Dogtra, our mission is to help dogs and their handlers reach their full potential.Join us in shaping the future of canine technology and care.Learn more at .ROLE SUMMARYDogtra is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our finance operations as we continue to grow.This role will be responsible for executing and overseeing core accounting functions, supporting monthly and annual closes, maintaining internal controls, and providing accurate and timely financial reporting.The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to improve processes.This position requires at least five years of proven experience in various levels of accounting.Attention to detail is required with strong written and verbal communication skills.The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.Own the monthly close process and assist in preparation of internal financial statements and reporting packages.Prepare and review key balance sheet reconciliations (bank accounts, AR/AP, inventory, prepaid expenses, etc.).Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing actuals and variance analysis.Collaborate with external CPA firm during year-end close and tax preparation.Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies; help maintain and improve internal controls.Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as needed, including collaboration with Operations team to reconcile inventory and resolve discrepancies.Monitor accounts payable/receivable aging reports and support collection efforts as needed including coordination with Customer Service team.Maintain confidential files and records for assigned area of responsibility.Review and improve accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.Assist with financial process improvements and automation initiatives.Support special projects as needed (e.g., system upgrades, cost analysis, ad hoc reporting).Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.QUALIFICATIONSRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting experienceSolid understanding of GAAPHigh level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detailStrong MS Excel and other Microsoft Office skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, small-team environmentPreferred:Proven expertise in preparing accurate financial statements and comprehensive reporting packagesHighly-skilled in accounting software, Excel, and modern ERP systems (D365, SAP or similar ERP systems)Experience with Shopify B2B/B2CBilingual in KoreanBENEFITSMedical and Dental Insurance (100% Employer-Paid Medical and Dental Insurance for Employee and Spouse)Dogtra is an Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action employer.We celebrate diversity and do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other applicable characteristics protected by law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
