Job Title: Backend Engineer for Billing SystemsAt Avenue Code, we are passionate about transforming businesses through technology.We believe that great results are born from strong relationships.We are looking for talented engineers to join our team and contribute to powering all internal and external billing services — including customer onboarding, subscription management, payments, provisioning, and integrations with enterprise systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and build scalable microservices that power billing systems.Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that interface with external financial and operational systems.Work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka.Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems.Required Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang (or proven ability to quickly ramp up).Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems.Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Nice to Have SkillsExperience integrating with ERP systems.Familiarity with API standards and tools.Exposure to Temporal or similar orchestration tools.Knowledge of distributed systems and security best practices.Avenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.The data will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared, in a limited manner, with clients and CompassUOL Group companies when necessary to provide services.
