OverviewRocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced, passionate Frontend Engineer for a 6-month contract position with the potential for contract to hire, who wants to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a talented agile team.
As part of a cross-functional team consisting of a product manager, designer, and 4-6 software engineers and QA analysts, you will be an active partner in the design, coding, unit testing, and release of new features and enhancements for our growing customer base.We value a fun, collaborative, team-oriented work environment, where we celebrate our accomplishments.By applying for this position, your data will be processed as per Rocket Lawyer Privacy Policy.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in UI design, technical design, and code reviewsGroom and provide technical scope for stories and epics in 2-week sprintsWrite high-quality, performant, reusable frontend code for the UX in Rocket Lawyer's productsWrite unit and integration tests that demonstrate that the code meets the acceptance criteriaCollaborate with other team members to incrementally deliver value to customersRequirementsStrong knowledge of modern JavaScript technologies such as Angular, React, and TypescriptStrong knowledge of HTML, CSS/LESS/SASSExperience developing responsive interfaces for web and mobileExperience with performance debugging, benchmarking, and best practices5+ years of experience building web applicationsBS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical fieldHighly DesiredExperience with NextJS or another React frameworkStrong interest in building delightful, intuitive user experiencesExperience with testing frameworks such as Jest and JUnitWorking knowledge of backend technologies like Java Spring Boot, Node, and REST-based API developmentKnowledge of web architecture and the HTTP protocolUnderstanding of microservices architectureExperience with MVC developmentKnowledge of caching strategiesKnowledge of cloud developmentFamiliarity with Jenkins and CI/CD environmentsExperience developing internationalized softwareExperience integrating and configuring CMS, CDP, tag managers, marketing analytics, and other MarTech technologiesSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustries: Law Practice
