**Job Description**The role is within our Mainframe and Midrange division, supporting the Midrange Storage & Hardware Engineering team.
The candidate is expected to be highly technical and exhibit the following traits:Highly skilled and capable engineer (deep technical knowledge required)Self-driven (identify and fix problems independently)Ability to execute complex tasks autonomouslyProblem solver**Key Responsibilities:**Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise storage environmentsIdentify, diagnose, and resolve operational and performance issuesDesign and implement large-scale storage, SAN, and Backup solutionsMonitor capacity and performanceAutomate routine tasks (preferably using Python)Document infrastructure changes and develop support materials & run books**Required Skills:**10+ years in storage/SAN/backup industry preferredKnowledge of IBM DS8000 & Flash Systems Storage, Broadcom (Brocade), Cisco SAN, Dell EMC Data Domain, IBM TS-Series TapeStrong ability to self-manage workload, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions with minimal oversightProven success in resolving complex infrastructure issuesEffective communication skillsPython skills are desirable; strong developers with minimal infrastructure knowledge will also be considered depending on candidate availability.
