We foster connections and leverage insights to optimize product value across our extensive global platform.Shape our customers' digital strategiesAs a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in showing customers the value of our solutions and closing the sale.As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:Working with sales to develop sales opportunities, evangelizing Akamai's technology through presentations,analysis reports, and proof of conceptsUnderstanding customers' business requirements, translating them to technical problems and mapping them to Akamai solutions.Ensuring project delivery aligns with requirements while coordinating progress with Service Delivery teams effectively.Building trusted relationships with customers' decision-makers to articulate Akamai's value proposition and build future revenue opportunitiesSupporting Sales, Marketing & other internal departments to ensure customers get appropriate updates, upgrades, and event-oriented solutions.Working closely with Product Management, Product Marketing and associated teams to develop future product direction and strategyShowing high standards of leadership - proactively developing and mentoring less senior staff withinDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 2-3 years experience & Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or related technical fieldHave 1 year experience with Cybersecurity technologies(Network security and/or web application security, and/or Enterprise security etc.)Have knowledge or understanding in Cloud Technology or Web securityHave minimum 1 year of experience in a customer facing environment such as technical sales or consulting.Demonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and have the ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholdersDisplay solid problem-solving skills and appetite to learn new technologiesHave experience in one or more web development technologies / architectures J2EE, Javascript, DNS, etcWork in a way that works for youFlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
