OverviewTalent Scout is seeking a Social Media Manager for a part-time contract role.
Our client is a Strategic Storytelling Studio that partners with mission-driven organizations to produce research-backed, story-based campaigns that deliver measurable impact.
Powered by StoryHeat—a proprietary storytelling testing and analytics platform—they merge audience research, strategy, and campaign activation into one seamless process.
Their campaigns focus on issues like clean energy in rural America and workforce development in critical industries, where storytelling has the power to shift perception and inspire action.RoleWe're seeking a Social Media Strategist to bring strategies to life across digital platforms.
This is a part-time contract role designed for someone who can take structured social strategies and carry them through to execution—creating, publishing, and optimizing content that resonates with audiences.
You'll translate research and campaign objectives into compelling, accessible social posts aligned with broader storytelling goals.
The role is hands-on: you'll be expected to both think strategically and deliver creative assets that drive measurable results.ResponsibilitiesExecute social media campaigns for client accounts and the agency's own channels.Translate quarterly/monthly strategy documents into actionable content calendars.Create, schedule, and publish posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter.Repurpose video, interviews, transcripts, and photography into engaging short-form content.Draft social copy that adapts tone and message for different audiences.Track content performance and provide real-time insights to optimize campaigns.Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative concepts and maintain brand consistency.What We're Looking For3–5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital strategy.Strong copywriting and messaging skills, with the ability to pull stories and themes from raw materials (e.g., transcripts, footage, testimonials).
Demonstrated success creating content that performs across multiple platforms.Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Descript, or similar.Highly independent and proactive, able to take a strategy brief and run with it.Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Interest in advocacy, storytelling, and mission-driven campaigns.Reporting StructureThis role reports to the Managing Director, with close collaboration during onboarding and campaign setup.
