Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experiencedAWS API Integration Engineerto lead the migration of existing MuleSoft integrations to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
You will design, build, and optimize API and event-driven integration solutions leveraging AWS-native services, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Migrate existing MuleSoft integrations to AWS-based solutions.
Design, develop, and deploy APIs (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven workflows using AWS services including:
Amazon API Gateway
AWS Lambda
AWS Step Functions
Amazon EventBridge
Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) / Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
Implement robust security and access control using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), API keys, and authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
Optimize integrations for performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, developers, DevOps) to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
Provide technical documentation, code reviews, and best practice guidance.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems integration or backend development.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS integration services (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS).
Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design principles.
Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, or Java preferred).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.).
Strong understanding of API security best practices and authentication standards.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience migrating from MuleSoft to AWS.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Amazon Elastic Container Service / Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service).
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
