Senior Backend Developer (SAP BTP / Node.js)Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (SAP BTP / Node.js)Work Model: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days per week – 60%)Work Location: São LeopoldoTime Zone Support: EMEALanguages Required: Portuguese, English (Professional proficiency)Experience Level: Minimum 8+ years of SAP experienceRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join a high-impact SAP cloud transformation initiative.The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable backend services for SAP cloud applications, enabling an AI-powered self-service solution that operates 24/7 for business partners.This solution retrieves information from backend systems, significantly reducing resolution times, improving partner experience, and easing operational workload.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js for SAP cloud applications.Build and extend applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).Integrate backend services with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP systems.Develop and consume OData services and REST APIs.Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and security in cloud-native solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.Support integration of AI and generative AI–based capabilities into backend services.Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and solution optimization.Required Skills & Qualifications8+ years of overall SAP experience with strong backend development exposure.Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.Solid knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).Experience working with SAP HANA Cloud.Strong understanding of OData services and API-based integrations.Familiarity with API design and generative AI concepts.Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.Tools & TechnologiesSource Control & CI/CD: Git, build automation tools.Development Tools: SAP Business Application Studio, VS Code.API Testing: Postman or equivalent tools.Project Management: Jira.Nice to HaveExperience with SAP GenAI Hub.Advanced experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).Prior exposure to AI-powered or intelligent enterprise solutions.Travel Onsite RequirementCandidate must be willing to work onsite 3 days per week with the project team in São Leopoldo, Brazil.This is a mandatory requirement and non-negotiable.#J-*****-Ljbffr
