About Colombo & Hurd, PLWe are a nationally recognized boutique immigration law firm dedicated to representing professionals, investors, businesses, and families from across Latin America and around the world.Our mission is to provide exceptional legal representation while advancing the cause of immigrants.We take pride in our commitment to excellence, innovation, and integrity which defines who we are.Position Overview:We are looking for a licensed attorney to join our team, and work closely with U.S.-based attorneys, as well as paralegals in South America and the U.S., to manage complex U.S. immigration cases.Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding high potential individuals and businesses through the intricate U.S. immigration landscape.A successful candidate will have excellent writing, research and analytical skills to assume responsibility in an active and diverse immigration practice.The applicant must be fully bilingual in both English and Portuguese.This role requires excellent communication skills both via email and orally.It is exceptionally important that we communicate with our clients in both a timely and effective manner.We operate remotely using our own devices, ensuring flexibility in how our team operates.A stable internet connection with a speed of over 25 Mbps is required.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Case Analysis: Dive deep into complex EB-2 National Interest Waiver and EB-1 Immigrant Visa cases, identifying opportunities and potential challenges.Meticulous Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research to ensure compliance with U.S. immigration laws and regulations.Persuasive Legal Writing: Craft compelling legal documents, including petitions, briefs, and memorandums, to advocate for your clients' interests.Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients, providing clear and concise information and solicitation of documentation throughout the immigration process.Global Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly with a diverse team of legal professionals across the globe to achieve optimal outcomes.Qualifications:Licensed Lawyer in Brazil3+ years of legal experience (preferred, not required)Fluency in English and PortugueseExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical abilitiesMeticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skillsA passion for immigration law and a desire to make a positive impactApplication Process:Resume reviewRequest for Brief Video IntroductionInterview with Our TeamOfferJob Type: Fully Remote full-time position - standard business hours.Benefits:Collaborative Work EnvironmentDiverse Project PortfolioContinuous Learning Opportunities
