Work type : Full timeLocation : VictoriaABOUT USQube Ports provides port solutions and logistics services with bulk and general handling facilities in over 40 Australian, New Zealand and Southeast Asian ports.Qube Ports manages 25 sites for the forestry industry in Australia and New Zealand and is also the leading provider of supply chain logistics services to the energy sector, supporting thousands of onshore wells and rig supply vessels, barges and offshore construction vessels annually.We lead the market in providing purpose-designed solutions for our customers, handling containers, bulk, automotive and general cargo.Primary PurposeThe primary purpose of the QP Asset & Engineering Manager is to support management in ensuring that Qube Ports sites comply with all the client, regulatory compliance and company responsibilities, including safety, through the effective procurement and maintenance of plant and equipment at the operating sites.The role is to support the Management team with technical maintenance support for operations and procure and install task fit assets as required.Specific ResponsibilitiesWorkshop & Staff ManagementOversee workshop staff, facilities, and equipment.Mentor apprentices and ensure all staff are certified and trained.Support workshop managers with hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions.Ensure staff competency in using fleet software and managing machinery records.Systems, Compliance & ReportingDevelop and implement workshop support strategies, policies, and systems.Monitor and report on workflows, KPIs, and compliance with NHVR regulations.Install auditing and inspection processes for equipment and tooling.Manage stock levels, stocktakes, and parts consumption records.Fleet Maintenance & Asset ManagementEnsure timely servicing and maintenance of machinery and plant.Develop and implement fleet maintenance and repair plans.Monitor R&M spend vs. budget and report discrepancies.Recommend asset refurbishments, trades, or disposals to improve reliability.Submit and manage Capex requests and approvals.Communication & CoordinationMaintain strong communication between operations and workshops.Conduct weekly meetings with operational managers to align on asset needs.Liaise with third-party service providers and suppliers.Technical & Strategic SupportProvide technical support for repairs and maintenance strategies.Use platforms like Etvia and EAM systems for reporting and action tracking.Create presentations for achievements and strategic planning.Why QUBE?At Qube, we recognise that our people are our most important asset and are the engine that drives our organisation, playing a vital role in ensuring our business achieve our objectives and deliver on our commitments.We believe that attracting the right people, maximising their contribution, and rewarding performance is vital for success.BENEFITSUp to 50% off gyms, studios, active wear, healthy meals, supplements, recovery and more through the Qube Fit program.Discounted health insuranceSpecial paid leave to participate in volunteering activitiesUnlimited access to employee assistance program delivered through Telus HealthGenerous paid parental leaveAccess to Qube wellbeing programIn return, we offer an exciting opportunity to join a business that is experiencing rapid growth and continued leadership.#J-*****-Ljbffr
