Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Ruby developer to spearhead software development and drive innovation in our team.This role involves leveraging experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead to deliver high-quality solutions using Ruby 2.7+ and ensure production deployments.Key Responsibilities:Broad expertise in Grape for building RESTful APIs, including parameter validation, middleware, and Swagger documentation via grape-swagger.Proficiency in Sinatra environments for lightweight services or legacy support.Familiarity with modular service object architecture, zeitwerk autoloading, and performance tools like stackprof.Tech Requirements:Deep understanding of Mongoid ODM for working with large-scale NoSQL schemas.Experience optimizing queries, using aggregation pipelines, and indexing strategies.OOP & Architecture:Mastery of OOP in Ruby with a focus on modular and scalable design.Use of decorators, presenters (grape-entity), and service layers.API Design & Integration:Experience building versioned APIs using Grape and Swagger.Working knowledge of integrating with external APIs using Faraday and faraday_middleware-aws-sigv4.Strong familiarity with JWT, JWE, and symmetric encryption standards.Cloud & DevOps:Real-world experience with AWS SDKs, including S3, SES, SNS, SecretsManager, Pinpoint, and Transfer.Experience deploying and managing cloud services, background jobs, and securing API keys.Work Environment:Diverse and challenging projects;A supportive team environment;12 vacation days per year;5 sick days per year;Access to therapist and psychologist support for mental well-being;Competitive salary.
