Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support and develop new tools and processes for our on-prem private cloud application.This role will involve communicating technical concepts clearly, facilitating discussions, collaborating with stakeholders, providing project updates, and mentoring team members.The ideal candidate will have experience in developing high-performance cloud and container technologies using Python as the primary programming language.Develop high performance cloud and container technologies leveraging Python;Deliver high-quality solutions and code;Develop unit tests to improve the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;Participate actively in all aspects of an agile software development process;Work as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization, and fault-tolerant/carrier-grade development;Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform used to deploy private cloud platforms aimed at 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.Essential Skills:Solid backend developer experience preferably but not restricted to Python, knowledgeable in Linux Essentials;Moderate knowledge in concepts of hardware, processes, programs, and components of the Linux Operating System;Ability to work on the command line and with files;Experience with creating and restoring compressed backups and archives;System security: users/groups and file permissions for public and private directories;Knowledge of how to create and run simple scripts;Interest in working on development and troubleshooting of a highly distributed orchestration platform supporting multiple vendors;Strong computer networking knowledge and transport layers;Knowledge of cloud computing concepts;Collaboration experience across remote teams and time zones, and collaboration with Senior Technical Leaders;Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab, and code review tools;Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker, Linux Containers, etc.);Experience with Kubernetes Cluster Administration (design infrastructure that involves one or more Kubernetes clusters, configure, control, and monitor Kubernetes clusters);Experience with Docker;Experience with Helm.Highly Desirable Skills:Experience with Kubernetes App Development (design and development of applications that run in Kubernetes clusters);Experience with PostgreSQL as a developer;Experience with RabbitMQ as a developer.About UsWe are the preferred digital engineering and modernization partner of leading enterprises and digital native companies.With over 9,000 experts in 47+ offices and innovation labs worldwide, our technology practices include Product Engineering & Development, Cloud Services, Quality Engineering, DevSecOps, Data & Analytics, Digital Experience, Cybersecurity, and AI & LLM Engineering.We hire professionals based solely on their skills and qualifications, and do not discriminate based on age, disability, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or nationality.
